Groff Memorial Park

Groff Memorial Park

Groff Memorial Park was my first web design project. It was also what inspired me to take creating Virtual Tours.  My first tour was show on a cell phone using Google Photosphere.  This yielded good, but not excellent results.  I investigated the technologies that were available at the time and decided to bite the bullet and buy a panono camera.  You can see the results.  Coincidentally, this Park was designed and created by a photographer, John Miller, whose studio can be seen in the background of some of the tour locations.  After getting into Virtual Tour making, I then purchased a good DSLR camera and took up photography.  I wanted to mimic the field of view that my panoramic spherical images create, so I started learning about how to take panoramic photography.  This has led me to where I am today, so I must credit this project with the path I have taken.  As with any first project, there are many things you would change, but I like looking at the site and it’s vibrant colors which take me to being at the park in spring.
